FAQ: Do you cover shelter or rescue dogs with an unknown history?

Short answer: of course we do. As long as we have capacity, we will take on any dog we can, including any kind of dog with unknown or traumatic histories.
Those are often the dogs we love working with most. They’re typically the most misunderstood, the most challenging, and the ones who need real help, not another curriculum-based dog training package.
Some rescue dogs may need immediate, hands-on intervention before we’re able to give them long-term coverage, depending on their current behavior problems. This is what allows us to solve their biggest problems first and set the dog up for success long-term, rather than having them wait to get the help they need today.
But, at the end of the day, if we don’t have the ability to serve a case properly at that time, we’ll be honest, and help guide you toward the next best step instead of leaving you guessing.
Overall, an unknown history or a major issue does not disqualify a dog here. It’s the reason we exist.
P.S. We have a YouTube channel with videos about us helping out with a shelter dog that had an unknown history. His name was Prince. You can watch his aggression transformation here.
