From Barking to Biting: What’s Covered under Canine Coverage™

ree

We’ve seen too many dogs get mislabeled.

“Aggressive.” “Anxious.” “Too far gone.”

But 99% of the time… they weren’t really any of those things. They were confused, scared, or simply misunderstood.

Those labels cost dogs their homes, and sometimes, their lives.

That’s why we built Canine Coverage™: to make sure no dog ever loses their home, or their life, over behavior again.

We’re here for the mislabeled dogs who just need a chance to be understood, and for people like yourself dealing with truly pressing issues who need real, professional help right now.

But the barking, lunging, biting, shutting down, it’s not just “bad behavior.” It’s misplaced emotion. And we’re here to help you understand it with the compassion and clarity you both deserve.

We built this whole thing to make your life easier. Not another maze of fine print, not another overpriced “program.” We’re here to cover everything from the smallest quirks to the biggest challenges, from puppyhood to gray muzzles.

We won’t bill you thousands. We won’t make you file claims and wait.

We simply show up when you and your dog need it most.

Our Military Working Dog Roots

Before Canine Coverage™, we spent years training and handling Military Working Dogs: dogs with enormous emotions and endless drive.

Those dogs taught us more about behavior than any classroom or book ever could. They showed us that confidence can be built, fear can be healed, and that no dog is “too much.”

We learned to read big emotions under stress, to channel their high drive, and to build trust rep after rep, play session after play session.

The same passion, perfectionism, and drive that once fueled us to perform at the highest level with our Military Working Dogs, now powers how we train yours.

Because just like our dogs, Sstice, Ddecca, Nick, Nikita… you and your dog deserve the very best of us, every day.

Why We Cover What We Cover

We won’t lie to you: we don’t cover everything.

But we cover what matters most: the moments that decide whether a dog stays home or ends up in a shelter. Whether a dog has another sunrise to wake up to, or not.

Seriously, we’ve seen far too many dogs get put down for the simplest of behavior issues, from puppies to adults. The constant mislabeling, the inability for anyone to offer these dogs the help they need… it ends here.

Our focus is on your dog’s emotional and behavioral health, because that’s where most families need help, and where the old system has failed them.

We’re not here to just layer obedience commands over your dog’s issues and call it a day.

We’re here to protect your relationship until the end.

When we say you’re covered, we mean it.

Quick Disclaimer: Behavior Problems vs. Obedience

At Canine Coverage, we cover behavior problems. We don’t cover obedience. There’s an important difference.

Obedience is about commands; everyday actions like “Sit”, “Down”, or a recall. But behavior issues, what we cover, are rooted in your dog’s emotions.

A dog who ignores “sit” might be distracted. But a dog who growls or even bites you when touched might be scared. That’s what Canine Coverage™ is built around. When you understand WHY your dog is doing what they’re doing, the resolutions quickly follow.

What’s Covered

You’re protected for one behavior case per year, big or small. A “case” just means something that needs professional help, guidance, or coaching. We cover everything from the first signs of frustration, like leash pulling or jumping, to the most serious cases of aggression or anxiety.

Because every big problem starts small, and every dog deserves to be covered before it’s too late.

1. Everyday Problems

Sometimes it’s the small stuff that slowly wears you down, including:

  • Jumping on people

  • Leash pulling or frustration on walks

  • Destructive Behaviors like chewing on furniture or digging

  • Puppy biting and mouthing

  • Overexcitement or hyperactivity

  • Impulse-control and boundary issues

  • and more

These are the everyday frustrations that make life harder, but when we solve the issues when they’re small, we prevent them from growing over time.

2. Major Behavioral Issues

This is where most people feel hopeless, where dogs are on the brink of rehoming, or worse. But it’s where we do our best work. We also cover:

  • Dog-to-dog aggression

  • Human aggression

  • Dogs overly guarding their toys, food, etc.

  • Severe reactivity or leash aggression

  • Fear-based behaviors (cowering, hiding, trembling)

  • Separation anxiety or panic when left alone

  • Obsessive or compulsive behaviors (spinning, fixating, tail chasing)

No matter how serious it seems, we’re in your corner.

3. Ongoing Emotional Wellness

Our job isn’t just to fix behavior problems. It’s to build lifelong confidence in you and emotional fulfillment in your dog.

Every membership includes:

  • Annual check-ins

  • Access to our Affective Academy™, your growing 24/7 library of videos and guides

  • Ongoing chat support during active cases

  • Personalized coaching and aftercare

  • Exclusive member discounts on add-on services, gear, and future events

We believe behavior health should be proactive, not just reactive.

*Every case is reviewed personally by our certified trainers. If something falls outside your coverage, we’ll still point you in the right direction. Because helping your dog, not just saying “no”, is the whole point.

What’s Not Covered

We believe earning your trust starts with honesty.

Here’s what’s not covered (for now) and why:

1. Obedience or Basic Commands

We don’t currently cover obedience-focused training like sit, down, stay, or heel.

Those are great skills to learn, but our focus is emotional and behavioral well-being. We’re here to primarily give our attention to the 3.1 million sheltered dogs every year and the hundreds of thousands that are euthanized for behavior “problems”. They need all the help they can get, and they’re currently not getting much.

That said, we’ll soon be adding obedience and lifestyle training as optional member add-ons, for those who want to take things further.

2. Physical Health or Medical Conditions

We’re your dog’s behavior coverage, not their vet. The medical side of dogs is something we do not specialize in. Physical issues and injuries are best handled through your regular pet insurance or veterinarian.

3. Pre-Existing Cases

If your dog already has an open behavior case before your 90-day waiting period ends, that specific issue won’t be covered until the waiting period passes.

(But if you need help right away, our Fast Track Option lets you start immediately.)

4. Neglect or Intentional Harm

We’re here for people who love their dogs and are willing to do the work.

Abuse, neglect, or refusal to follow a training plan voids coverage, because we only serve owners who care enough to try.

Our Promise to Dogs

Every dog deserves to be understood, not given up on.

Every owner deserves understanding and real solutions, not empty guidance or overpriced programs that don’t fit their dog’s unique needs.

That’s why we built Canine Coverage™.

And together, we’ll change everything for your dog.

In Short

We cover the moments that matter most: from puppy chaos to serious behavior problems.

We don’t cover obedience training, vet bills, or neglect.

But soon, you’ll be able to add obedience training right inside your coverage, making Canine Coverage™ the first all-in-one plan for your dog’s behavior, emotions, and skills.

If your dog needs help, we’re in your corner, always.

Because dogs aren’t their labels, and families shouldn’t have to choose between help and heartbreak.

I’m really excited about Canine Coverage. I’ve seen so many dogs get labeled as aggressive when they were just scared or misunderstood, and it always bothered me.

What I love is how straightforward this is. no crazy prices, no weird fine print, just real help from people who actually get dogs. feels like someone’s finally in our corner.
